Loot & Progression in Crimson Moon

The loot post is the one that makes or breaks the long-tail value of Crimson Moon. Run-based games live or die by whether finding a new item feels exciting. The post signals ProbablyMonsters knows this.
What you find in Gildenarch
"As you fight your way through the fallen city of Gildenarch, you'll uncover a huge variety of weapons, armour, trinkets, consumables and powerful upgrades."
Five categories. Let me read each one against the build-system post to make sure I am not overpromising:
The list is generic on purpose. Each category will have its own surprises on day one.
The progression curve
What the post implies without saying:
What carries over vs. what resets
The post does not say directly. But "every hunt" phrasing earlier implies:
The Sanctus Clypeus "Strengthen" step is where probably most of the meta-progression lives.
Why the post feels honest
Loot posts are usually full of corporate hedging — "we want meaningful progression without grinding." This one is honest about discovery being the point. There is no implication that every piece of loot is balanced or that there is a clear meta. The dev team is leaning into surprise.
That is the right call. Players who want a spreadsheet will find one in three days. Players who want to be surprised on run 40 are the audience this post is talking to.
