Frost Build That BREAKS Crimson Moon — FIDISTI's Hellish Setup

Frost Build That BREAKS Crimson Moon (FIDISTI)

FIDISTI's "Frost Build BREAKS Crimson Moon | Hellish" video (12K views, 6 days old) describes a Frost-scaling build that he characterises as broken — it "melts elite enemies, bosses, and world bosses even on Hellish difficulty." This page transcribes the loadout's identity, the gear family, and where it sits relative to other Frost builds circulating this week.

⚠️ Community-sourced. Gear names in this page are paraphrased from FIDISTI's description and gameplay commentary. FIDISTI does not list exact item names in the YouTube description — he walks through the build in the video itself. Where we name a slot, it is from visible UI in the video or from the broader community discussion. The official Crimson Moon framework for what a "Frost build" can be lives in How Builds Work.

The video at a glance

• Creator: FIDISTI
• Views: 12K — the highest-viewed Frost build video this week
• Tagline: "A broken Frost build for Crimson Moon that melts elite enemies, bosses, and world bosses even on Hellish difficulty."
• Why it matters: It is the most-watched community Hellish-Frost guide. RPJames's parallel "Hellish Frost Reaper" build has 4.2K views but covers the same core identity (Frost melee + Frost trinkets) — these two creators have converged.

Build identity

FIDISTI's build is Frost-scaling melee with three pillars:

1. A Frost-scaling weapon — by video evidence, a Frost-halberd or Frost-greathammer class weapon. (FIDISTI does not name it explicitly in the description; the UI in the opening showcase shows a Frost-scaling two-hander.)
2. A Frost trinket / Frost armour set — the "Crusaders" family shows up in RPJames's parallel build, suggesting the community has agreed on the set identity.
3. Boons that extend Frost uptime — picked at Nexus Gates mid-run per the How Runs Work system.

Loadout (9 slots, per How Builds Work)

FIDISTI himself does not name the items in his video description. The names in the table above are community-consensus — they match the items RPJames runs in his parallel build, which suggests the Frost Reaper identity is shared across creators even if the exact fourth armour slot varies.

How to play it

Same shape as any Frost-melee build for Hellish difficulty:

1. Stack Frost uptime. Pick every Nexus-Gate Boon that extends or amplifies Frost.
2. Be in melee. The Frost proc chain only triggers on hit — kiting wastes the build.
3. Purify aggressively. Every successful run, Purify your best Frost pieces — they become permanent and let you re-enter Hellish with a fully geared Frost loadout.

When this build shines

• Hellish elites — the build is built for this.
• World bosses — FIDISTI specifically calls out that it "melts world bosses."
• Co-op with a second Frost user — double the Frost uptime.

When this build struggles

• Early game — you need the Frost weapon + set first. Run a starter build until then.
• Frost-resistant enemies — check boss modifiers before committing a run to Frost.
