Crimson Moon Factions

The factions in Crimson Moon are the power blocs that define the conflict. This page is the NPC-style overview; for the full worldbuilding context see Story & Lore.

The Order of the Crimson Moon

Allegiance: Player faction (humanity's defenders).

Founded by: Gallant, a legendary Nephilim.

Headquarters: Sanctus Clypeus — "The Divine Shield."

Members:

  • Gallant — Founder, mentor, commander
  • Mereda — Historian, trades Lore Scrolls → Boons, Souls → Blessings
  • Lotte — Treasure hunter turned quartermaster, sells trinkets / throwables / consumables
  • Gajov — Vampire blacksmith, increases gear rarity, sells weapons / armor for Souls

Role: Defend what remains of humanity after Gildenarch fell. Provide the player with the hub services between Ward runs.

Full page: Order of the Crimson Moon.

The Infernal Legion

Allegiance: Antagonist faction.

Composition: Four confirmed enemy types per the Steam store page ↗:

  • Demons — front-line shock troops
  • Undead — corrupted former defenders
  • Vampires — fallen nobility / corrupted mortals
  • Hellgrowth abominations — corruption-themed, plant / flesh hybrids

Role: Occupy Gildenarch, defend the Dead Gods, and resist the player's reclamation.

The full structure of the Infernal Legion (commanders, lieutenants, named entities) is not in first-party sources — community play is still surfacing details.

The Vessels

Allegiance: Infernal Legion-aligned mid-run bosses.

Composition: Six Vessels per the developer-run Crimson Moon Wiki. Individual names are not in first-party sources.

Role: Mini-bosses that gate progression through a Ward. Drop signature weapons (per crimsonmoonguide.online).

Full page: Bosses & Enemies.

The Dead Gods

Allegiance: Infernal Legion-aligned end-of-Ward bosses.

Composition: Three Dead Gods per the developer-run Crimson Moon Wiki. One confirmed name (Tyrigon, Spawn of the Black Aeon); the others surfacing community-side.

Role: The end-of-Ward boss fights. Designed as the Angel Ascension payoff — bank charges across the run, transform during the boss fight for the burst window.

Solomon Moore (allegiance unconfirmed)

Solomon Moore is a named character referenced in the launch roster, but allegiance is not yet confirmed. Could be Order-aligned, Infernal Legion-aligned, or third-party.
